Tracked links

Short redirect links with UTM handling, bot filtering, and post-click conversion measurement.

1. What tracked links are for

Tracked links (https://url.adservekit.com/r/{slug}) provide branded, stable short redirects for off-site marketing campaigns across social media, email newsletters, and partner sponsorships.

They provide accurate click reporting, bot filtering, and post-click conversion attribution without relying on third-party link shorteners.

2. Creating a tracked link

Navigate to Tracked URLs and click Create tracked link.

Enter your final destination URL (https://...), choose a memorable custom slug (e.g. /r/summer-deal), and select the associated website property.

Configure UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign). AdServeKit automatically appends these to the destination URL upon redirect.

3. Dynamic query parameter passthrough

AdServeKit forwards incoming query parameters dynamically. If a visitor clicks /r/summer-deal?affiliate=123, the query string is safely merged with your stored parameters, ensuring tracking continuity.

4. Measuring clicks, bot filters, and conversions

View reports under Tracked URLs: Total clicks, unique clickers, geographic country distribution, and device splits.

Human vs. Bot Traffic: Reports default to bot-filtered traffic to eliminate web crawlers and automated spiders.

Post-Click Tracking: If your destination site carries houseads.js, review bounce rates, session duration, and completed conversion actions attributed directly to that link.
