1. Basic Creator vs. Advanced Studio

The Basic Creator fills in smart templates: you supply text, imagery, colors, and a destination URL, and it automatically derives clean layouts at every size.

The Advanced Studio is a layered design canvas. You place and arrange every vector shape, text block, and media asset yourself, animate properties over time, and control how designs adapt across formats.

Both produce standard AdServeKit creatives that attach to campaigns identically and deliver through the same high-speed edge network.

2. Canvas, layers, and layout tools

The canvas represents the pixel dimensions of your creative. The Layers panel (left sidebar) manages the z-index stack: layers at the top of the list render in front on the canvas.

Selection and Alignment: Select objects to move, scale, and rotate. Use the top alignment toolbar to distribute horizontal and vertical spacing evenly or align elements to canvas edges.

Locking and Visibility: Click the Lock icon to prevent accidental edits to background elements. Click the Eye icon to hide layers on specific size variants.

3. Typography and self-hosted fonts

The Studio includes 63 self-hosted font families across 8 categories (Sans-Serif, Serif, Grotesk, Monospace, Display).

Because fonts are served directly from the ad server rather than external CDNs, advertisements render identically across all visitor devices without third-party tracking.

4. Automated background removal tool

Isolate product photography directly on the canvas without third-party software.

Select an image layer and click Remove Background in the properties panel. Remove Background automatically detects the main subject and removes the surrounding background with clean edges, while ensuring your images remain private.

Processing takes approximately 40–60 seconds. Once complete, the background is removed cleanly with a transparent background.

5. Timeline & keyframe animation

Open the Timeline panel at the bottom of the workspace to animate layer properties over time.

Set total duration (e.g. 5.0 seconds) and framerate (30 FPS). Insert keyframes for Opacity, Position X/Y, or Scale. The engine smoothly interpolates values between keyframes.

Choose your playback loop mode: Once, Continuous Loop, or Ping-Pong.

6. Managing multi-size variants

A creative has a master canvas and can contain variants for other ad sizes (e.g. 728x90, 160x600).

Variants share creative copy and assets while allowing format-specific repositioning. Changing headline text on the master updates all variants, while layer coordinates remain tailored to each format.

7. Drafts, autosave, and publishing

Edits save automatically to your draft. Live campaigns continue serving the last published revision until you explicitly click Publish Revision.

Publishing takes a snapshot of all size variants and pushes them live immediately. You can inspect previous revisions in History and restore earlier versions at any time.

8. Exporting images and video

Click Export in the top navigation to download still assets (PNG, WebP, JPEG at 1x, 2x, or 4x resolution).

Choose Video Export (MP4 or WebM) to render animated timeline creatives for social channels or video advertising placements.
